12:01am Sunday

It looks like The World’s Largest Telecommunications Company is either going to try to carry on without us worthless workers. The managers have been given their strike assignments and a private contractor has begun replacing locks on key field cabinets. The union held a strike vote and 96 percent of us voted for a strike to happen. A two week vacation will be just fine with me, longer would work too.

On April 18th, I complete 34 years of working for The World’s Largest Telecommunnications Company and I have never felt so worthless. It’s all about meeting their unattainable numbers… I refuse to cheat and cheating is the only way anyone can make the numbers. As soon as I turn 591/2 I’m out of here… This too will pass

  1. I am glad to hear you are standing up for yourselves! You are not worthless and you deserve decent working conditions. I salute your strike and hope it goes well for ya! Remember, I am from a semi-socialist country. 😉 Not much time left for you to work there, that’s good!

  2. It is sad that loyalty is worth nothing these days. There was a time when employees and customers were the number one people to satisfy and keep happy and in doing so the shareholders would benefit. Now unfortunately it is the other way around, shareholders and profits are number 1 with employees way down at the bottom of the list. Hang in there my friend.
