Pulaski Skyway

This morning had me California Dreaming and wondering if Josh would want to see his dear old dad anytime soon. We hit a massive traffic jam when two major drawbridges on our route were in the up position to let a couple of barges pass underneath them. I actually was able to see rust do its job on the old bridge structure…

Songwriter Burt Bacharach once wrote a simply beautiful song about The Pacific Coast Highway and the last time I was down there I remember the beauty. The white sand beaches and beautiful people walking about. I don’t think there’s ever been a song written about The Pulaski Skyway with its aging tinker toy lattice work of steel… The bridges over the Passaic are old and rusting hulks of once was a thriving area… This too will pass
